Full Strip And re-Roof Project.

Martins Roofing Contractors Ltd were appointed to undertake a complete strip and re-roofing programme at the Windsor Boys School, with the objective of modernising the existing roof and upgrading the building to meet current regulatory and performance requirements.

The project involved the complete removal of the existing roof coverings, followed by the installation of a modern roofing system incorporating high-performance breathable roofing membranes, treated timber tile battens and new concrete Double Roman interlocking roof tiles.

As part of the thermal upgrade, the existing loft spaces were insulated to a total depth of 300mm, significantly improving the thermal performance of the building and ensuring the roof insulation met the required standards.

The roofline was also renewed. New facia, soffits and rainwater gutter systems. This provides effective low-and high-level ventilation through the roof void, helping to maintain the long-term performance of the new roof construction.
